Celtic Associates Limited are committed to supporting the local community. Below are some of our more recent activities.

This is the first year that Celtic Associates Limited has sponsored this handicapped ladies golf competition. The 2017 event was held on the sunny Saturday of 3rd June and was won by Lesley Coole with a net score of 68 winning on a count back from second placed Mair Moore who also scored 68. Shirley Price came third with a net score of 69.

This annual open competition held at the scenic Rowany golf course in Port Erin has been supported by Celtic Associates for several years.

The 2017 competition was held on Saturday 20 May. The competition for the cup is a men’s open handicap competition but there are also prizes for the best lady and best junior.  There are also various nearest the pin prizes one of which, nearest the pin on the second, was won by our own Iain for the second year in a row!

Some good scores were gained with the top two men both scoring 41 points and the winner having to be decided with a count back over the final 9 holes. The winner was Geoff Corke who picked up the trophy for the first time and Greg Galloway came second. Irene Waterhouse was the winning lady and Nick Clegg won the juniors prize for the second year running.

Pam Young and Iain Wood were delighted to invite and welcome guests to play and an enjoyable time was had by all.

This crown green bowling competition takes place annually in August and Celtic Associates have sponsored the event for several years. Ladies from all over the Island take part in the open competition which takes place at the Port St Mary crown bowling green.

This year the competition is to be played on Wednesday the 9th of August.

Last year the competition was held  on wet Wednesday 10th August 2016.  Iain Wood opened the competition by bowling the first wood of the afternoon. Comment was made that his delivery had improved from last year!

The winner was visitor to the green Janet Monk who beat local player Val MacFarlane 21 to 11 in the final.

We were pleased to sponsor local league football team Gymns since the 2014/15 seasons.

Below are pictures of Iain with the teams coaches Ken and Jim with award winners Barry and Dan at the Gymns 2016 awards dinner.
